Fish To Pick $1.1 Million Sudoku Winner!
A British man running an online Sudoku competition for a $1.1 million home says he will let his fish pick the winner from correct entries. Insurance broker Dave Mackie, 49, said the winner of the Lancashire, England, home will be chosen from 14,000 correct entries by a system involving his pet koi fish and a touch-sensitive pad, The Daily Telegraph reported Tuesday. He said the pad will pick a winner when a fish brushes against it. Mackie said he hopes the system will allow the fish to pick a winner who will take care of them once he hands over the keys to the home.
“As well as being beautiful and majestic creatures, koi have an aura about them and are very perceptive and sensitive to what is going on around them,” Mackie said. “They are the ideal symbols of love and friendship, and I have no doubt they will pick the right winner — someone who will get on with the neighbors and someone who will look after the fish themselves.” Mackie said he will continue to accept entries until Feb. 1 or until he receives 14,000 correct entries.
